​How We Got Started

Rural Works was established in July 2010 by Christopher Harris.  Christopher is originally from Zuni, Virginia and is a 1998 graduate of Southampton High School in Courtland, Virginia.



The People That Make It Happen

Friend and family participation have been great so far. 95% of all donations made for the last three backpack drives have been made by close friends and family.

For the last three years, 350+ backpacks have been donated to elementary school children in Southampton County, Virginia.
